Clutch and edge juice and attitude???

I recently installed an edge juice and attitude with the hot unlock, i was messing around with and when after i ran the truck in the hot setting for maybe a 15 - 20 seconds just to see what kind of power gains there was, i came to stop and when i pushed in the clutch it felt like there was ressistance on it and it was pretty solid, after a minute working it in and out it returned to normal.??? I am just wondering what happened? Should be concerned about it, i imagine there was alot of tourqe on it, I am not going to be running it in hot that much if at all, just because i have do not have an after market clutch or anything else on the truck yet.

I dont think being hard to engage the clutch is a problem within the clutch. I think that would have something to do with your throwout lever/bearing or your hydraulics. I have ran Crazy Larry, DDP stg 2's, and a silver 62 for about 2 months with 3rd gear launches and sled pulls on the stock clutch and i am just now hearing ticking and squeeling. I dont think you have anything to worry about just yet.

ok, this truck is new to me and i have never had a diesel with a cluth in it so i was a little nervous. The cluth engaged and disengaged just fine the pedal just felt really stiff, it was not making any wierd sounds. I dont know? i just dont want to break it.

With the G56 trannys you can "weld" them together by slipping/burning the clutch a lot. Some people are fortunate and get them to free up by working the pedal a bit.. Others are not so lucky.

I remember when the G56 tranny came out there were alot of people having that issue.

Sounds like you slipped the clutch and got it hot, if you are concerned with trying to keep the stock clutch healthy, I would not continue to run the truck with the hot unlock. By already getting the clutch that hot, you have most likely done some serious wear on the stock clutch, take it easy on it or it may not last long.
