I think the rubber gasket is there to prevent leakage, which is everyone's fear. Good idea to remove it, although I used the one they gave me, and it still looks great . Lets see some pics....

Rancho71,
Not 100% certain you understood my previous posts, but yes, I do realize the new lights come with a new white foam gasket for sealing. The one light I tried using the gasket did not seem to fit very well and the white foam was visible making it pretty ugly. I ditched those and used clear silicone sealant only. The lights fit perfectly now.
I've uploaded pics in my gallery including a close up of the lights, not sure when the images will get approved though.

I understand what you said, I just dont want people to miss understand what you said. Most people will read your posts and get discouraged about perhaps adding this very cool accessory. No worries. I am glad you installed them , and I am looking forward to seeing your pics. Take care....

I just got back from out of town.
I had posted that I was going to put blue bulbs in the smoke cab lights I had ordered, but did not ask for them when I ordered on the phone from them. Guess what...they showed up with blue bulbs already in there Now thats unreal customer service.

So when you order the lenses do you need to purchase bulbs as well, or can you use your existing bulbs?
Need to know soon...I ordered my lenses a week ago, and they were out of stock. Appears they will be in stock in the next day or two.

These cab lights come with bulbs already. They are hyper white. In other words they burn white, not amber. If you want to still have the amber color, then you will have to get amber 194 bulbs. They are not too hard to find. P.S what color lens did you get Clear, Smoke, or Super White?? Send pics when you get them. I called the company that has them, and they said they are getting a shipment this week. They also said, they cant believe the demand for these things. Anyway, good luck, and send those pics......

I bought the smoked lens...I'm not at all worried about the legalities of running non-amber bulbs in my clearance lights...Of course I'm in New Mexico, and just about anything goes here.
My rig is silver, and I believe that they will look very sharp in person...Especially at night! Funny how I got used to having the amber warts on top of my cab. Now that I've seen pics of the clear lenses I notice the ambers stand out like a sore thumb now!
I'll post pics as soon as they are installed.

I just found CLEAR CAB ROOF LIGHTS on sale at the following website for the same price as eBay:
I think these are the same brand as the ones on eBay. I'll let you know once I get my set later this week.
I hope this helps cause it took me hours to find another guy selling these roof lights online.

Red to the rear. White to the front. Amber is good for both. No Blue. Blue = ticket. Clear = make sure they work. A cop having a bad or boring day can cite you for a inop light even if it's not required. If it's there and no worky you CAN be cited. Will it happen? No stinkin way unless there is something else they are looking for.
