I dont see a Pacbrake for 04.5's and up for $650? I see the regular Pacbrake for $860 and the PRXB for $1075 The only thing I found for $650 was the PRXB upgrade kit or am I missing something?

Brake Number C40111
"Brake Only"
$650.00
Who knows, I may may be mising something. I have no experience with them. Everything I've ever driven had "engine" brakes - those I can appreciate.

Now...if you can find your supplier that sells pacbrakes for 650 canadian he is going to sell a bunch of em real quick I bet.
And although the exhaust brake is not in the same league as an engine brake for performance, you will certainly appreciate one in our trucks if you tow.

Okay, trying to learn something...
Which is better, the Jacob or PRXB?
YOu can buy a truck with the Jacobs right from Dodge, does that mean they're better or more reliable in the long term?
HOw are they different?
I was quoted $1350 at the Ci=ummins store the other day for a Jacobs...
What about the ones from BD?

I really think it is preference some people will only use Jake's since they are factory recommended and factory installed others believe that the PRXB is the way to go. There is also the standard Pacbrake which I would assume would be like the equivilent to the Jake Brake. I like the idea of Pacbrake using a compressor and it not running all the time like the Jake. I have yet to get one and while I would like to get the PRXB but a price of $650 for the Jake is hard to pass up.
Oh and I havent really heard much about the BD.

Well im in the same boat as you are so once you get yours let me know how it goes for you. If you both get a complete kit from the same guy and neither has issues I dont see why not?

Who knows, with the amount of sleep I've been getting, I may have been looking at a price for something else also - entirely possible.
