changing gears and stuff......
When i take my truck to the shop what else is routine to be changed, like wheel bearings and gaskets and seals and things? Should i change the u-joints? What else should i have done?
My truck has 35k miles on it, ive had it since 8/2003
also, my truck is making a high pitched rubbing sound on takeoff from the passenger side on the rear im thinking its the wheel bearing? I went out there and pulled and pushed the wheel pretty hard and hear a little pop, i do the same on the other side and hear nothing. Wheel bearing?

35k? The should be just breaking in!
On a serious note...I think sitting and just "time" is harder on drivetrain than using it. I have 125k on all original bushings, bearings, ujoints except my rear driveshaft. One joint ran dry...and I busted the yoke on the other.
Take it to a driveline shop and have them inspected...if you don't feel like doing it yourself.
