Can you swap out a g56 for a bomb-proof auto?
Has anyone here swaped out a g56 for a new ATS or any other bombproof auto tranny? What are the implications. I heard that going from manual to auto is not that big of deal, but going from auto to manual is drama. Is this true?

Some company makes conversions to put an Allison where the 48re is I think.

Well hopefully someone more knowledgable will chime in, but I think there could be an ECM issue since it is involved in the shifting and TC lockup of the 48re.
