The main consensus here is that you use a relay to power your additional lights. You can use the stock wiring to trigger the relay, but power the relay directly from the battery. You'll get much better performance from your lights this way, than if you just powered them from the headlight/fog light circuit. Plus you also avoid pulling too much power from that single circuit by using the relay, so you don't have to worry about blown fuses or overheated switches.

Not sure why you should have to wire a separate switch. You can turn the fog lights without the head lights by turning on the running lights. It is good to have the markers on in low visibility. Now I guess if you only want fog lights then a separate switch is needed.

They come on with the clearance lights or off/ On with low beams and high beams!!!

Just like the fog's when the clearance lights or when all the lights are on!!
Na that's the only downfall!!
