camander fuel presure after update????
i just received my adapter to get the x2 to work with the camander,i updated the camander and now my fuel pres reads half of what it did before,it read 18-20 when i installed it,now it reads 9-10.it goes to 20 if i change the setting to the 40psi sensor,how do i know what sensor i have?im confused,do i have 20psi or 10?with the old version on the camander it didnt have the setting for 40-100psi sensor,also what does the fuel pres adjustment do?is the middle default?thanx for any info

If you'e running the stock lift pump the 9 PSI measurement is the correct one. What color is your FP sender?
The commander has adjustments in fuel pressure so you can calibrate to your specific set up. I have learned that the default settings are almost always correct, and I doubt you'll have to monkey with it.

thanx for the info,i thought 20psi was pretty high for a factory lp,i did get the intank pump replacment as a waranty thing so the pump is pretty new,the sender is gold or brass colored,with the old version of the camander it read 20 rite from install.does it say anywhere on it if its the 40psi or the 100psi sender?

anybody know what the 100psi and the 40psi sendors look like?idont want to have to remove the sendor and try a manual gauge just to test it.

I've had both types of senders. My 100 PSI was Olive Drab green, and my current sender, which is 40 PSI, is brass. You may want to call Quad just verfiy what sender you have.

thanx for the tip,how long have u had the 40psi?what presure are you seeing?why would anyone need more than 40psi for fuel?isnt that hard on the cp3?

I'm not completely for sure but I think the 100 psi sender can be used on any diesel truck to read pressure, but it is made more specifically for the Powerstroke engines. Don't quote me on that, but I think I'm right.
As for your pressure, you should be seeing 9-10 psi max. If you're reading 20 psi you are definately on the wrong setting.
