bullydog low power
#16
Two different functions.
Torque Manegement delete removes PRNDL display and allows for boosted launches over 2000 RPM. This can be awful even on a built transmission if not used carefully. I have seen guys power brake to 3200+ RPM and snap billit shafts on fully built trannys.
Low End Power adds more throttle sensitivity, and makes more HP lower in the power band. I have already changed the wording in the PMT and will do so on the triple dog for the next version to say that it is not recommended for stock transmissions.
This is a tough one for me to figure out, I have heard that it doesn't hurt the trannys and I have heard that it does hurt the trannys. Basically everyone needs to decide what they want and can afford

IIRC,
If its already on the truck hook the BDDL back up, choose "install download" (I think thats what its called). It will then ask if you want to change program or return to stock.
Choose change program (again it may be named something else but you only have 2 choices). It will do some loading etc but ultimately it will ask what trans you have (< for auto, > for manual) and then the very next screen you are asked if you want "Low End Power", choose "Y" Yes and it will continue to ask a few more q's (depending on what ver. your running).
5 min. later and presto!
Mmmmmmm,.......Low end power gooood
Disclaimer: If you play, sooner or later your trans will b egin to slip.

Well it appears mine did not come with it. I have tried for 30 minutes and cannot see anything like that in any of the settings. This BDTP is about 14 months old and came with 2.2.7, so if anyone knows for sure if that unit did or didnt come with the Low End setting Id appreciate it.

Hmmm, I don't remember seeing a "low power" option when I did my 2.4.1 install...
... what will this to to my stock manual tranny and clutch if I can find it?

When installing the 2.4.1 the programmer will ask you what type of transmission you have, I have an auto so I get the option for low end power, but I'm thinking when you select the standard trans option low end power may not show up, maybe thats why you never saw it....

I have a 6 speed and I unlocked the Low End Power on my 07 6speed and you cant tell a difference. Its seems a little more sensitive on the throttle but not enough to wait for the 8 minute download.

There is the torque management thing too, I haven't tried that yet either...
(...to be honest though I'm quite happy running 2.4.1 on extreme, don't know how much more power I need nor how much more power my stock clutch can take)
