bullydog low power
what does it mean when the triple dog ask if you want low end power. is it better to have it on or off, will it hurt the tranny with it on.

Low end power is going to be hard on your trans, even if it is built. Line pressure is too low at low RPMs, and your clutches will probably slip and wear out a lot faster. (I know mine did).

I have my dog set for low end power, and i havent had a problem yet. With my shift kit, i get a good firm shift even at low rpms. Now thats not to say it wont or it isnt hurting my trans, but i have a new one in the works. But after a few thousand miles of having that low end program in, my trans feels fine. I 1/8 mile drag race almost once a week too.

Silly question maybe, but where does it ask about low end power? Is it something you downloaded or was it in your stock BDTP? I would like to try it and see what its like, but NOT leave it on and hurt the tranny.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Maybe i should take my low end power program off, now im nervous. I cant afford to blow up my trans just yet. I have been running it for about 2 months now with no noticeable bad effects, I dont do boosted launches, but i do floor it off the line about 2wice a week.

Not true on my truck.
Low End DOES NOT eliminate torque management. Deleting Torque Management is when PRND12 don't show up on the dash....Low End has nothing to do with Torque Management. It's simply more low end fueling, like the name suggests!
It eliminates the ECM's Tq management, releasing TONS of low end torque. It's almost scary how much power you have as soon as you touch the go pedal. Tranny damage is a definite posibility with this setting. Even under light throttle the power is markedly higher at the low end. I found it a little too sensitive on the gas pedal. You really have to apply the accelerator more gently to keep the tires from breaking loose.
