Are you wanting to help your truck a little or have a super tow rig?
P.S. everyone will have more fun giving you ideas on a super rig.

M, Upgrade your tranny first with a new flexplate, torque converter and valve body kit....If you want to upgrade the hp and tow heavy you will have to get some rebuilding done and at least a billet input shaft. Once the tranny is done swap out your stock muffler for a nelson on Donaldson 4" in and out without baffles (28 to 46" in length depending on how loud you can stand). Don't bother upgrading the air box until you get a box with boost fooling. Then you will be ready for a box. Depending on how much you want to spend you can start with a Quad towing box, spend a little ona Juice with attitude, or go full on with TST PMCR. Then your done. ks

He must have a suped up rig to be better at towing than your dodge, even a Cali special. If he is stock as well, it's his transmission thats beating you. You could play the same game and get an Allison put in your truck, blow him away with the 6spd Alli.

Who's doing the Allison conversion?

Wondering about the electronics.

I don't know who does them, I assume they are out there. I know you can order a Dodge with an Allison; post a thread, maybe someone else has heard of someone doing it. If they can drop a real diesel in a Ford (Superduty ya out there?), surley they can put a different auto in a Dodge.
