Is the truck that it's VIN locked to still around?

If so, set it back to stock, and you should be OK to load it to your truck.

you might be able to get it fixed, but the sad thing is there have been folks selling them purposely locked, the seller keeps the tune, the buyer gets a deal, and somebody has to suck it up....... Not cool

well i think i can just get the money back just called the guy he said he had no i dea of it and is fine with getting the money back to me looks like its the smarty pod!!!!!!!! im buying it right now but before i do is there any issues with these on an 03 ive read a lot of posts some about popping and such but what do you guys think?

Should i get the jr or the sr im looking for maybe 100 more hp that is on the really high side as i dont want to buy a fully upgraded trans and such i just want a little bit more than stock but with lower egts and i hear installing a smarty will lower the egts on a stock truck correct as long as you keep it on the lower settings.

Hello,

If you just want 100 hp on the high side get the Smarty Jr. Save the dough and be happy with something that will not get you in too much trouble.

Get w/ Bob W, I'm sure he can hook you up for a small fee, if you got a good deal, then it should be worth the trouble.

well its a shame that you are stuck, but maybe this will start putting an end to folks purposely selling locked smarties, keeping the tune and buyer hoping to get a fix .

What sucks is when your truck gets broken into and they steal your smarty and you have it load in the truck .
