Bought Sulastic Rubber Shackles

Just installed a set, or should I say I had them installed. I have an advantage over the rest of you because I discovered that the factory is not that far from me, so arranged to go there and pick up a set. The price was cheaper than in the states. They offered to install them for an additional 150 pesos. Approx US$12. For that price, no way am I going to even attempt the job.
Was impressed with the installation. First they weighed every wheel and then took a bunch of measurements. Then they matched each unit to the truck. I asked why they did that and they told me that there are minor variations in each unit and for the HD trucks it is better to match them. They also showed me the manufacturing area. Every unit is load tested and the load marked on them.
Bottom line is that I was happy with the installation. My wife noticed the difference in the ride quality within 5 minutes and has approved this mod. The price so far is well worth it.
In about two weeks I am taking my fiver on a trip, so may have another report on my return.

It's my pot and I'll stir it if I want to. If you're not careful, I'll stir your's as well!
The difference is just under $80. Yes, maybe I could make a few bucks by shipping them up there, but not sure if the small profit would be worth it considering the low volume and the cost to get them up there, duty etc. Now if I could sell a 100 or more a month .............hmmmmmmmmmm.

I'm also wondering about how much they "lift" the back end. Is it a really almost a couple on inches higher from everyone who has installed them? Does it squat at the same rate when loaded, or do they squish a little faster when weight is applied? I'm also wondering how long they will last. Sure sounds like a "must have." I can see this necessitating leveling spacers for the front (and alignment) and a set of 5100 shocks. Sounds like almost 900 bucks now!

The installation on my truck lifted the rear by about .25". As far as squat goes with a load, it may squat a tiny bit more when I load my fiver, but if it does, it is not much. I level it with the usual amount of air pressure in the airbags, so going by that, there is no additional squat.

If one pays attention to tire pressures loaded versus empty (weight scale values) not just minimum/maximum limits, but the honest details per load -- and worked with the adjustable shocks to do exactly the same, in the same way -- then the 4th Gen cab mounts and the leaf shackles would always be at their best.
