So you don't trust your rail pressure and EGT gauges?

His sig says that he has Isspro gauges. I assumed he was using those for testing.

No - I said I don't like digital gauges - electronic are fine... give me a needle and I'm happy.

Meters are a different story - I'll take digital every time.

No, it's an isspro mechanical guage... I don't believe the attitude. I think that it reads fooled boost.

Yeah, I've only seen 32 PSI on the edge.

At 53 psi on the intake you could have 70psi on the cylinder side...which could pop a head gasket and egt's spiral too high after 44psi from what I 've read on hear. Remember that setting for when you get a nice durable 62/64 14 71 turbo. If you blow the turbo....its not the metal you will be worried about...it is the oil that leaks into the hot air flow and feeds the engine into a run away....lots of fuel no control ...5000rpm...rod through block. YIKES!!! That's scary!

Make no mistake, I'm not out playing with this... It just happened one day, and it made me nervous.

I have an electronic wastegate, how do I control the boost? If I use the edge to control boost, won't it de-fuel instead of blowing off boost?

Which still leads back to my origional question... Why all of a sudden?
