Boost needle shakes a bit, normal?

My boost gauge will hit about 32-33 psi when I hammer down then it comes down and settles right about 25-26psi but as it's sweeping up and then settling back down and even sometimes when holding it will do this shuffle/shake/shutter type thing. Is that normal or should the gauge be moving real smooth?
Thanks!

Did you drill and tap your intake horn or did you use a boost bolt?

I agree it is pretty normal for WOT type boost readings. Mine will not do that with normal/moderate boost readings going up or down.

A snubber, (small orafice") installed in line with your boost gage would also cure your problem

I guess that depends if its a 30 or 60psi gauge! Put a stock headgasket truck with a 60psi gauge on the peg and its gonna start shakin at some point!

I can make mine shake at 55psi on the track. That is what the wastegate is at and when it gets to 55psi it will vibrate the needle for a while.

The smallest little leak will cause it to vibrate/shake, try tightening all your connections even if it's a little.

If you can stare at the gauge long enough to see it shake, you ain't going fast enough...

(mine does it also at around 52psi)
