boost elbow

I need a boost elbow to use my boost fooler on my 03 and i was wondering if i put those on but decided later on to take the boost fooler out will the boost elbow set any codes or screw up anything since the fooler wouldnt be on anymore

You can leave it on. You might have to adjust some to avoid overboost code.

Is the boost elbow adjustable? They have a set screw to adjust the pressure.

Your stock elbow is a brass elbow with a fixed size opening. This allows boost to ~ 24psi.

An aftermarket elbow usually is designed with a set screw that allows adjustability. The more it's screwed in, the more boost is allowed to build. These come set at ~ 28 - 30 psi before the wasted gate opens. Adjust out, less max boost.

Run both of them. Keep the boost fooler in so the ECM wont cut back on any of the fueling when it sees 25+psi of boost. The elbow will help to build a few more pounds of boost to help keep the egt down a bit.

but what if i want to lets say get another box to stack with the programmer dont i have to take the boost fooler out?

If the box you are installing has boost fooling built into it you wont need it any more, then you could take it out.
