???? for Bob Wagner....

that's what i am doing too..trying to read between the lines and piece together the bits and pieces of info from here and other forums.....
i believe the betas we are running now are not the showing the real capabilties...just a taste.
way back when the betas were first introduced, bob (or marco..can't remember exactly) said that the betas were being based on a new programming techniques in which all the future sw's will be based on...not exact words but to that extent.
that along with don m's statement a few weeks ago about some top secret smarty tuning he was helping with and achieving big power/tq well into the upper rpm's with a smarty sw(and other mods) he could not really talk about.....here's the link:
https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...d.php?t=174035
with the speed limiter and rpm issues resolved, i'm sure they are finding ways to make sure we are able to take full advantage of their progress.....
actual hp/tq increase a particular unit makes over stock is a major selling point, now days with the number games all companys are trying to play...and then bob makes a statement like this.......
"...We have been dyno testing new software all week and the bar is raised to a new level never seen..."
..it could be game over for the competition! they(mads) do what they say, as bob put it. and they keep proving themselves over and over.........can't wait to see what they have up there sleeve!!!!!

I was at John's shop(Floor-It Diesel) last Friday and he had mentioned that Marco would be in town to do some dyno work... I would've loved to hang around for that but unfortunately, I had to come back to work so I could pay for all of the things I did to the truck last weekend(valve springs, orings, head studs, ATS manifold) and what I will be doing in a few more weeks(twins).

I don't know everything they're working on but, the latest seems to be the 4000rpm software. I would imagine anyone can run it but, unless your engine is somewhat built ( springs at least ) it's not a software for everyone and everyone seems to be waiting on it. I would say it's more a race tune than anything. There's gonna be a lot of trucks broke down if people don't pay attention
Smarty already has a number of powerful softwares for the average truck and I think if they can just add the rev/speed limiter removal to those... there's not a lot more needed as far as power. Sure there always room for tweaking but, a stock engine will only take so much before it goes boom !

it's pretty safe to assume they are incorporating the speed limter and rpm limiter version in the new stuff...but, if i my guesses are right that don m is in the mix with them somehow at least testing-wise, those aren't the only improvements.....he was looking at a vast improvement betwen the 2400-3500 rpm range......link to don m's post is a couple posts above-----
here's one posting from don m in that thread--
"Its Smarty SW for sure. The rest I cant deny or confirm, but it is for real. The injectors are tiny. I have never seen a Diesel Only graph hold 1200 ft lbs from 2400 to 3500 rpm."

Then you add the stuff for the hard core trucks....4k rpm, no SL,.....and everyone wins!

another quote...this time don m(today):
"The results were very good from the first 2 days of this past week. Learning from one another and moving forward.
Having a fuel guy, an electronic guy and a dyno owner/tranny guru all lumped in the same building working toward more power and RPM was the greatest. Everyone had their questions answered quickly and in real time.
Marco has the RPM and it is working well. The graphs were getting fatter in the mid range too. Of course we moved the mid range graph up unlike anyone else is doing."
mmm,mmm,mmm.............
