The maximum speed at which the cruise will activate. I believe I read somewhere that on the 3rd Gen trucks it is around 82mph. The 2nd Gens are close to that as well.

Cquestad, I can certainly understand the top speed limiter, but why do you want to cruise so fast???

Because like I did this weekend.....cruising at 80, but cannot engage above 83-84. I was trying to hold about 85-87 and the cruise would engage then disengage so I had to dead leg it.

Mine holds solid at 85 mph...but,

I am kinda a midnight rambler...would like cruise set at 90 or so for those 1000mile hauls through the middle of the night in the middle of no where.

Kinda like Smokey and the Bandit all rolled into one.

Cruise won't engage but it will allow you to "accel" up into the 80s. I know I have used that button up to about 88 or so. I never tried engaging cruise over 80 though.

I've averaged 145.7 for 90 miles, but that was in a different vehicle!

I have only broken 110 twice in Optimus. He like to stay around 80-it's where he is most comfortable

100 for 20 miles is definitely the way to cover some ground!
