Blow By

Does any body else have this problem? My 03 has 130k on it and it has some nasty blow by. At least thats what I am assuming it is. When I stop at a light it will start smelling like diesels smell and a hint of smoke will come out of the little breather tube and it always makes its way out the drivers side fender. I really dont want to tear the moter apart to change the rings. I guess I could take a longer piece of hose and connect it to the tube that leaks and run it to the rear of the truck. Any help is appreciated.

Have you checked your oil level?

Mines in the shop right now due to excessive blowby. I dusted #6 cylinder after losing four injectors. Good luck.

Yes, we actually just changed the oil probably 1.5-2 months ago and it was way below the add mark on the dip stick. I added 1 gallon to it and it just made it to the safe mark. Do you think I have other problems? Any body else have something like this going on?

Sounds like you scored a cylinder. will just get worse. depending on how bad and how fast you fix it. You might just need a hone and re-ring.

How about the sig? Twins will build enough pressure to cause a small amount of blow by. Right?

As well as a very significant amount of fueling and a heavy skinny peddle all of the time.?
