Black chrome vs powdercoating

Does anybody know the prices of each? I'd like to know more about black chrome, but I haven't found much info. Which would be more durable, but also keep it's luster?

Well, I was always told that Black Chrome is where you chrome the product and then bake on a semi-translucent black powder-like substance that creates the black chrome and is actually dust-resistant and harder than just about anything. Someone told me that there is now a way of doing Black Chrome in one step (i.e., the chrome dip itself has the black) but I have not seen that.

Powdercoating is much easier and cheaper. I could get my wheels (the 22.5s) black chromed for $250 a piece if I rememeber correctly.

Yes, normal black powercoat over chrome isn't black chrome. It's a special powder that is similar, but not the same thing as, black powdercoat.
