I just installed 4 Bilsteins on my '99 dually that I purchased from www.stranoparts.com.

I was still running the original stock shocks after 75,000 miles.
Very noticable improvment in ride quality.
The ride feels tight but not harsh.
On the highway it is very smooth & comfortable, with much less stuttering over bumps.

I'd buy them again.
But with Bilstein's advertised quality, I shouldn't ever need to.

Just swapped out the rears this past weekend. What a nice difference in ride. OEM passenger side rear was shot, and had less than 36k miles on it, pos. I'm going to swap out the front to Bilsteins as well. You'll be glad you did.

I've got Bilstein's too. I like them. $294 isn't bad. I think I was just a smidge over $240 through a vendor who is a close friend.

Coobie, for the $$$ get 'em, you can't go wrong!

Thanks smokingdog,I think $294 was a fair price. The local auto zone store wanted $89.95 per shock plus ordering and shipping charges,H,mm go figure.coobie

Shovelhead, thanks for the reminder. And I appreciate it as well as you business. And I'm glad you like your shocks too.

Please support the site sponsors (whoever they may be). We spend a lot of time on here gathering info and answering questions. We are here to help. Certainly if the price is very much out of reality it makes sense to look around. But give us (collectively) a chance to serve you. Not only does it help the site (because who'd want to advertise and never even have the chance to do business), but it helps you guys and gals too. Why? Because you know you are doing business with a company you can talk to. In my case, when you call you are talking to an owner of the business and not some random sales guy. If you have troubles, or requests we're here. Not always the case with the huge companies, and even it it was, they don't show up here. And I drive a 600 myself, so I can relate to you needs.

I sell the 5100's for $74 each. I don't generally do free shipping, but I do make it clear that I do what I can when I can. Just ask. In the day and age of the internet, it seems the bottom line is all that matters. Bottom lines are important, but so it customer service. I'm 31, but I suppose too old-fashioned for my own good. I'd have a lot more money if my website was better, and maybe more customers too in terms of outright volume. But, I also wouldn't near as many happy customers either and that's still my priority.

I only ask for the opprotunity to serve you, and I'd think the other sponsors would agree.......

Sam,
I will be in the market for front and rear Bilstein's in the next few weeks. Based upon your previous posts and the one you just made, you will get my business.
Thanks for your support and recognizing the value of a truly satisfied customer. People and businesses with your beliefs are getting harder and harder to find and I for one appreciate the smaller company that takes care of their customers over the bigger outfits that forget about you when once the have your money.

I think this weekend I'll autocad up some aluminum shock towers and CNC them out by next week so I can run reservior shocks. I'm tired of not being able to put really good shocks on this truck without spending a fortune on a whole suspension kit.
