'The husband' wants to take my truck on a vacation and pack along the bikes. We would like to get a bike rack to fit in the back of the truck if possible so we can lock the bikes up at night. Mopar doesn't make bike racks like this, there are only the kind for the durango that fit on the trailer hitch. The truck is a short box with quad cab. Does anyone know if you can get bike racks for the truck?

I am a Thule rep, and we just bought a company called Sportworks. Check this mount out:

Its called the insta-gater. Our trucks can hold up to 3 of them. It is the only mount on the market that doesn't require removal of the front wheel. It also comes with a 5yr warranty and is made in the mighty USA! To lock your bikes, just run a cable through the frames and padlock the cable to one of the tiedowns in the bed. When your done using them, just open your tailgate, and they come right out.

I have been using one for about 2 mths and it is great.

It can be purchased at your local bicycle shop.


They sell for about $100 each.
