no whistle?
If you want to whistle- then just get rid of that dumb intake muffler they put in- its black plastic and 6.5" long and just over 5" in diameter. I put in a piece of stainless steel 5"ID pipe and it worked great, PLENTY of whistle. It actually looks better under the hood too. Love it and helps intake air flow a lot, spools the turbo quicker.

Just installed a 4" turbo back exhaust from Jeg's, it fit perfect, had all the hangers, and sounds real good. Has a mellow sound and not too loud till you stand on the throttle going up a mountain and it sounds great. They sell em for $299. + handling (about $15. bucks) and have free shipping. Takes longer to remove old pipes than to install new ones.

...... AAHH HAHAHHA I couldnt be happier with my 4" straight pipe. Great improvement in sound, definite must have for any new dodge owner... Removed the muffler today and ran 4" pipe from just below the turbo all the way back (dont have the ability to bend it (too large)) Sounds throaty and not Raspy. Nice even tone at idle and when cruising it DOES NOT drone in the cab. Wife even said she liked the improved sound and noticed an increased throttle response (shes awsome btw). Turbo spoolup is quicker, or at least seems to be and it sounds GREAT at WOT. wouldnt have it any other way ... LOVE IT ... even got a double take from a couple of dumptruck drivers at a stoplight when i floored it... AHAHHAHAAA god i love this truck...

straight pipeed '03
I straightpiped my '03 and It does sound really different from my last one (an '01 straight piped w/ stacks also), but It does sound wicked. It has a serious turbo whistle and I get a LOT of comments about it everybody that has approached me about it said that it sounds awesome! So far though I have only heard someone else drive it once, it sounds good to me outside the truck but it sounds funky in the cab.
