lol,, I think that everyone will have different opinions on this subject,, and I think that with the cummins engine will have a much better chance of lasting in a high hp situation than say a gas engine, I have a fair ammount of HP in mine and to be honest I hardly use it except for when I am towing my trailer, but I might be more the exception than the rule

Ive been sitting at this computer reading, drawing my own conculusions, for 2+ years. Buying all parts listed below on the way.
The most signifient thing I learned is patience.
And I feel sorry for the guy who buys the 6.7 and thinks hes going to bomb it any time soon.
Where still playing catch up with the 600 / 610 and its already going out of production.

Guys, You can bicker all you want but the truth is but one hour away. Pop off your plasti-crap oil cap and 4 10mm bolts on the plasti-cover. Breather box 2 8mm bolts, 6 10mm bolts off of the rocker cover. Check the valve lash and find a pair of valves that are up. Pop off the rocker and look disassemble the barrel and check the rocker bore and barrel for gauling. If you are real keen, Check the valve guide and seals at the same time. IF valves guide and seal are tight and the rocker bore and barrel are not gauled you are doing ok. Check the valve lash. If all is ok then you are ok. IF valve lash is off you may have hammered valves or seats. Reassemble if ok and keep thrashing away. If you are racing and towing hard support you poor local oil company and change your syn oil every 5k minimum and test the oil every 2.5k. I've always had good oil reports but good is not what you need for racing....you need great. ks
