Big Amp

The 4 channel amp that I ordered for my truck is much larger than I thought. I don't think that there is a reasonable way to make it fit under the drivers seat. I was wonering if anyone has put amps behind the rear seats of a 2005 Quad cab. I have the MTX thunderform with 2 10's under the rear seats so that space is pretty much gone.
I also need to figure out how to take the rear seats apart without damaging anything?

first off welcome to the site, time to fill out your info so you don't have to repeat yourself each time you post, user cp upper left corner of the page and scroll/ look aroound and figure it out. That amp must be huge if you can't fit it under the drivers seat. That is where I plan on puting mine when I get it, even if I have to take the seat out to make mounting easier and then reinstalling the seat. Passenger side has all the jact stuff there and unless you move that the space is realy limited. As for behind the rear seat unless you have amegacab I think is too tight for an amp for heat reasons.

Behind the back seat on the drivers side. You unbolt the seat at the base, then you flip the backrest brackets so they loop down instead of up. this allows access to the amp without unbolting the seat. You'll have to cut out the sound deadening material behind the seat where the amp goes. I used an industrial adhesive to glue plywood strips to the back sheetmetal, so I could use screws to mount the amp through the plywood and and not screw holes through the sheetmetal..
I'll post photos later....
