I think I'm going to go the 315 route after much deliberation. I'm also going to lift it 2" all the way around. I don't want to spend a lot of $$ on new rims, so I'll use my stockers-the aluminm ones, not the chrome.
Any downsides of using stock rims? Anyone have some pics?
Will the revs be too low to pull 12,000 lbs with the 3.73 6 spd?

Thanks Gary. Did your truck have a lift when you had the stockers on? How did it pull?

I have only pulled 3400lbs was fine , no lift, lowered the back, new trailer will be 10000lbs will report then but will be a month.

Some pics in my gallery as well, most are on page 2. Purchased my truck at the beginning of winter, so I haven't had a chance to pull either. No lift, everything stock. I'm happy and can't think of a reason I would go back to a smaller tire. They just look to good.

Lots of folks running 315s here, so hopefully someone that has had a chance to pull some good weight will chime in for ya.

Nothing special. Generic NAPA mud flaps. I think they were $12 for a set. They were the biggest, funkiest 4X4 mud flaps the local NAPA store had. In addition to the huge flap itself, they had a four inch wide piece of rubber about 20 inches long coming off the top that was meant to be screwed into the underside of the wheel well. They are designed to stick out about two inches the length of the wheel well to act as kind of a flare. Anyway, they were the biggest flaps I could find, so I bought two sets and cut off the funky flare part, attached with screws as with any ordinary flap, and waaalaa. If you stopped by a NAPA store you couldn't miss them. They look weird with that 20 inch piece of rubber coming off the top.

You can check my pics too. Stock tires with no lift and no rubbing to speak of. I sold my trailer so I haven't towed anything either. Flares are coming soon. I am trying to figure out the best route to go with those.....

Check my gallery. No lift or Spacers installed. Does rub a little on right at Full-lock. Have Mopar Mud Flaps and Bushwacker Street Flares. Looking at putting on bigger mudflaps cause the BFG's are rock throwers....

For those of you with the 315's on stock rims, what air pressure do you have in them set at? I have 50 psi in mine and it seems the outer edge of the tread is not hitting the pavement. I have the chrome 17X7.5 rims on mine. After I had them installed at the dealer they had 62 in the front and 54 in the rear. I just think the 50 may be to high. Thanks for any input and for others the only rub I get is in reverse turning the rear of the truck to the right. Other then that, I love the 2" leveling kit and the big tires.

The max pressure in the BFG 315's is 50 PSI. I am running 45 in mine right now but I think I'm going to drop it down to 40 to keep the tread wearing evenly...

Thanks for the reply. I am going to take mine down to 46 to see what it does. I just don't feel like taking big steps and then have to fill those beasts up with air. But more then likely I will take them down, but baby steps is key for me.

Thanks for the replies. I need to do something, I'm just torn. I might be getting a 5th wheel toy hauler soon, so I don't want to be too high. Might have go 285 or stay 265 w/ an MT or AT tire.
