BFG 315 prices around Edmonton
I would really like to put a set of BFG 315/70R17 A/T tires on before the winter. Does anyone in my neck of the woods, Edmonton, know where I could get them for a decent price?

Cheapest I could find in Calgary was $300 each inlcuding mounting and balancing. That was about a year ago. I had to have them ordered in from an OK Tire shop, but it only took 2-3 days to get them. Try the Hummer dealers and then call around to some tire shops that sell BFG. I found that there was quite a price difference.

KalTire is definitely out...$333 per tire, just for the tires. Tirecraft is $1506 total and The Tire Warehouse $1459. I don't have a Costco membership anymore but I'll check them out. So far it's still Crappy Tire (plus I get $35 Cdn Tire money back so I can buy winter wipers)

Oh, I forgot to mention that I called a couple H2 sales and service places and they said most people take the stock wheels and tires even if they put on aftermarkets. I guess maybe if you were right place at the right time you could work a deal but what are the odds?

Man I hate Canadian tire though. I bought a good used set of 35" at's from a kid on Vancouver Island once. Really wanted to get 'em mounted up and Cambodian Tire was the only place that was open late. So I hauled 'em down and proceeded to get them mounted. The "service advisor" comes to me when the job is done saying they had to add some ungodly amount of weight to a tire because the tire was NFG, they were able to get it close but there "might" be some vibration he said. So I head on my way home, man I couldn't get over 60kmh, I could tell which tire it was coming from so I crawled underneath to have a look. The "tech" didn't even take off my old stick on wheel weights from the previous tire. So I pry everything off, and head back in the morning to express my displeasure. So they offer a free balance, I thought perfect let's put this to bed. Head on my way home again better, but still not good enough, they tell me the tires are nfg. so I called the kid I bought them from and expressed my displeasure with my purchase, I'm sure I had him crying and he swore they were perfect on his truck. A few weeks go by and it's getting to be too much to handle. So I take it into Kal-Tire the tech fooled around for 1/2 hr on the first tire with no luck, the machine kept changing it's mind on where to put the weight. So he broke down the tire and we found like a cup of water and a huge gandful of dead leaves inside all the tires! **** minimum wage help!!

Yeah, you gotta wonder what kind of training these kids get sometimes. I hadn't shopped at Cdn Tire for quite a while but now I buy my diesel there all the time, although I do hate that know-it-all bearded ba$tard who does their TV ads!
