BFG 285/70r17 on a 06- 6spd
I just bought a set of BFG T/A 285/70r17's from the dealership and had them reprogram my Speedo. If they did my Speedo right I am now running about 2k rpm at 75mph where before I would be running at 2,400 rpm. I am hoping they did do it correctly and that my rpm's really did drop b/c now I am getting 20mpg at 75mph.
Just wanted to see if any other 06 - 6spd boys had similar results going to a 285 tire.

that sounds wrong,, you should only notice a small decrease in rpm,, I am running 285 toyos,,, (which could be a slightly different diameter) and I really didnt notice a huge dif. also my speedometer was only out like 2 mph with the bigger tires (mind you the speedometer could have been way out to start that I am not sure of)
Kevin
ps i get around 27 mpg at that speed
