He's got a lot of warnings on this forum. Even though it might be dumb, I'm going to try it today. I'm not going to hotrod it. I just want to see how it feels. I disconnected the XZT and we'll see. I'm going to take it easy and since I've been running regular sw on level 5 and the XZT and haven't had any problems. I don't beat my truck up and don't plan on it.

I used beta 4.4 on level 3 with stock trans for 4k miles...no issues, but i wasnt driving like i stole it....i think the lesson learned should be that "beta" software, smarty or not, should be treated with kid gloves....beta's are bound to have some unknown's, it's their nature.....sorry to hear about the trans, from the sounds of it, you should be able to keep it alive for a while...

I hope I don't sound like I'm pointing the finger at Bob,...Yes, the onus is on myself for anything I put in my truck I accept the responsibility fully...
I should have searched more before hand, to find out exactly what the SW was, I *** u me'd that it was just a new update...
Either way, I'm just gonna baby it for a few days and see how it goes, maybe rent a truck for the short term until I can get myself back to civilization and start shopping for that new tranny...It's not the end of the world but I have to admit there was a bit of panic that set in late last night,..Go ahead and call me an idiot if it makes you feel better, I certainly deserve it this time

torque beast
while the warning was useful, i was towing with mine back in may, so a july dyno result did me no good. now if people are just now getting it and its tearing things up then they have been fore warned!
i wished knew then what i know now and my tranny would be in alot better shape, but oh well...also i would memorize lotta numbers and would win it big!

Maybe only some of us can tell how much MORE POWER the betas are! Hello! What's up w/ your SOP meter? I could tell immediately how much more power #1 on the 4.3 was, let alone 4.4. They are both nutz in a good way except for trannies. We all should know by now, "if it feels good, it's probably tearing something up!"
Brett, How's my sister doing?

B man how long ago did I send you that software? I *try* to ask everyone who either calls or emails for the software ever since I was aware of the hp levels.
Prior to that all bets are off, but I do apologize.
