mine doesnt have any white smoke, but according to the star scan thing, i have 3 bad injectors! no symptoms, other than my truck shaking more than it should at idle. my service guy noticed it and it looked normal to me, but apparently theres a problem

wap, will the mp-8 add more power or just make what i already have more efficient?
The Beta software is great if you don't plan on using additional pressure boxes, and is very smooth to drive; however, it seems as if running a Wild program and adding some pressure with the TS MP-8 offered just as much, if not slightly more power...and allows adjustability of the rail pressure on the fly.

Uhm, maybe. The MP-8 is a "pressure box". The Beta 4.4 program also modifies rail pressure. I tried several of the Beta 4.4's (#1,8,9) along with my TST/MP-8 combo. I don't think that the MP-8 is the best stack to go with the Beta software, as it is very easy to peg 27,000 psi...not only on the pedal, but spiking that occurs when letting off.

We have VERY similar setups. Have you hit the rollers?

I'd guess I'm in the mid-500's with hp, and maybe 1000 torque? I don't know... I'd like to dyno soon, but we'll see.

weird ju-ju
Went to a dyno day yesterday and wanted to try the Beta 4.4 to see what it really did on my truck 2003 HO 305/555.
I had the #3 program loaded (60 HP timing) this is what I got (uncorrected):
Base Flux 2 w/ no Smarty = 377 HP / 687 TQ
Beta 4.4 on #3 = 525 HP / 930 TQ
So this was +148 HP / 243 TQ.
So for the next 3 runs I turned the TST on and rattled off basically the same numbers - graphs overlap each other. Didn't matter 1x0, 2x0, 3x0, 3x1 - all the same! It's as if the TST wasn't doing squat.
Earlier this year I noticed the same thing when I dynoed the non-Beta Smarty on #9 and then added the TST and/or MP8 and yielded nothing more - even though rail pressure was +22K. Only when I turned the non-beta Smarty program down to say 30 HP, then the TST and/or MP8 would kick in and start producing noticeable power changes.
It seems like when the Smarty is on its highest fueling map or ~120 HP added fueling that it doesn't let the TST, MP8 do anything. With the Beta + TST I can only hit ~45 psi boost, but when I take the Smarty off and then run TST alone I can easily get into +50 psi boost.
Any ideas?

Anyone notice a difference in boost fooling between 4.4 and the standard Smarty boost fooling program? I知 running the standard boost fooling program and I can not get past 30psi. I wonder if I go back to the 4.4 if I could do any better?

I have the opposite....4.4 rarely exceeds 35psi....but with any of the aftermarket turbo softwares i can hit 45+psi....you sure you're running the aftermarket turbo version of the standard smarty?

with smarty beta 4.4 i can easily and hit over 40 psi(max out at around 43-44 psi). without smarty i would max at around 33-34 psi. complete stock was at around 30 psi.

You sure it's not the WG setting on your HTT turbo? They seem to ship them out with the WG set around 30psi, even though they always say it's set around 45psi. Have you tried adjusting the WG since you installed the turbo?

No, I知 going to look at the wastegate next. I assumed since HTT told me 40ish, I would have been able to get past 30psi. But, who knows what HTT actual set the WG at. I値l check that this week and adjust it. I did check my SW version and it痴 the aftermarket turbo version.

I can hit 75 psi now with 3-1 05 Twins Auto 6 Degrees and my standard Smarty on SW5!
Julius...I do not get your truck. Sorry we did not hook up...I will call you tonight and explain.

julius,
With my wild version 4.06/3.05, I could hit the wastegate at 55psi fast. Now with the beta alone it will hit 48. Crank up the TST to 2/2 and it's back at 54-55, but not as fast. The old wild version was just way too smokey for all the tree huggers in cali. Anyway, my TST still does something with my beta program.
