Best way to clean your winshield??

What would you guys use to clean the winshied from BUGS, CRAP, WIPER STREAKS, SCUFFS and all other junk picked up from the road? The brushes at the car wash barely help, the winshield wiper streaks I think are the worst

The car wash... Use soap on it, brush it if you want....Then spray it with water....... If that doesn't work get a razor blade....

When they get really bad I like to use ultra fine 0000 (four ought) steel wool and good glass cleaner like Pro-glass. Make sure to use 0000 ultra fine so as not to scratch the glass. When you get it clean, the PPG glass treatment that comes in the little plastic wings is perfect. Works very well and lasts for better than 6 months. Good luck!

There are products you can apply to clean wind shields to keep the bugs from sticking hard.

I use a pressure washer. Soap, then blast.

I use regular Windex etc. glass cleaner and then a newspaper to scrub and wipe down. The newspaper leaves no streaks or fluffy crap on the glass! A truck driver at work showed me this method and I even use this method at home around the house on windows and mirror.

Hire a laborer, you can usually get one off the street for 10 bucks an hour, usually near a shelter, or temp office. For 20 bucks your windshield will be as clean as new fallen snow! Who knows maybe you can have him clean the wheels too...

I'll have to second (or third, or whatever) the elbow grease. I just use a quality glass cleaner and papertowels, and scrub the windows until they are clean. Speaking of.... I need to clean my windows!

Windex No Drip inside an out with blue shop towels although the newspaper does work and tends to fill little scratches with carbon to keep the glare down. ks

I recently purchased "Stoner Invisible Glass" cleaner at Sam's Club. It is the best window cleaner I have ever used. Just spray it on and use a micro fiber towel to wipe it off. Great for cleaning road film and bugs from outside of window and also the blueish film that accumulates on the inside of windows. The combination of using this cleaner and a micro fiber towel does a great job on my windows. I bought a six-pack of towels at Walmart for about $5.00.

I found this stuff at an airshow for airplanes. Now cheap, but it works pretty good. Bugs wipe right off after you spray them with water.
