You are correct... And everyone says stuff about only being able to read rail pressure on an 06 thru a monitor but I do it with my cts and know a boy that does it with his outlook on an 05

Ackerdiesel:
So you can read the fuel rail pressure, trans temp and turbo boost from your 2004.5 with the CTS hooked up to the OBDII port?
I am considering the Insight CTS for my 2005.

You might want to call on that. 06 and newer for trans temp only. Data is really hit and miss on the 03-05 trucks. Be sure what you're buying will do exactly what you want. Also, make sure they do it how you want.

Even if I had to hook all the sensors up to get all the read outs I would be fine with that. I wonder how controling the computers really are in these trucks my 04 lost a fuel pump and wouldn't start but after trying to get it started the the only code it showed was low batteries! But my 05 will get the light when fall rolls around and temps get cold that says the air coming in is cold! Maybe some analog guages and a smarty then buy a code reader for when you do get codes?
