Smarty Jr. I like the simplicity and the gains of both mpg and hp.

I agree. Smarty Jr. or Sr. depending on your budget and power goals.

And before someone say's 'EFI Live' there is no EFI Live for the '03-05 models.

Oh, it can be done if you have the know how!!!!! Me, I ain't got the know how and I can't afford to buy a Smarty right now so my old school BullyDog programmer will have to suffice.

Oh, it can be done, but requires a '06-07 ECM, matching wiring harness and modifications to the instrument panel to make it work. Other words, much cheaper and easier to get the Smarty.

Its called the Edge Evolution. Awesome programmer, makes more power than smarty revo and comes with active gauges. Lots of power customizable options. Do your research. Lots of info out there

More power = more stress on your rig especially towing. My 5er weighs 11.5k and close to 13k loaded with everything including passengers and I will not bury the pedal on any hills. One in particular I keep it at 40 mph and my egts climb steady. I could not imagine running my smarty on the second or third setting without beefing up the trans. Would be nice to have a trans I could trust, more power would be welcomed.

I have an Edge Evolution and really like it. It's on my 2007 5.9 CTD. I'm monitoring ten things of my choice too. Easy install. I run mine in "Economy mode" and have increased my horsepower, take off and mileage. I got about five miles a gallon on a recent long trip!
I have had two injector solenoids go out this year and don't know if the Edge had anything to do with it. I do have 165,000 miles on them. Herb

The Edge runs hot compared to a Smarty but does have built features and safeguards. I just like the simplicity of no plumbing. Plug it into your obdII and 5 minutes later your done.

Please see my mileage correction above. With my big one ton 4x4 single axle I've got over 24 mpg calculated on paper using Edge Evolution. I also want to add that it comes with a back up camera port. I installed a cheap one off EBay and when you go in reverse it comes on automatically!
By the way, the Evolution reprograms the ECM and it will stay the same even it it went dead or unplugged before starting. You can restore original program before Dodge service.
