Best Stand Alone Electronically Triggered Injector

Which of the big three has the best electronically triggered fuel injector? I am working on a project and I need a high pressure diesel injector. Also, which pump is the most reliable?
Thanks,
Mark

Both the Cummins and the Duramax uses the Bosch CP3 pump and injectors.
The Ford 6.4L uses the Siemens injection system.

Don't know if one is any better than the other.

Is the CP3 a constant pressure pump?

no it varies by rpm. a stock cp3 will run about 6kpsi at 800rpm and about 20kpsi at 2k or 3k rpm.

I heard that the duramax runs 75k rail pressure, is that true.

no not really. FLOW is dependant on rpm.

pressure control/regulation is the job of the fuel pressure regulator valve (FCA).

with a tech 2 (for GM, I dunno what chryslers scantool is called) you can manually control the FCA and a CP3 will make 26,000psi at idle. (although it wont flow a lot of fuel)

for your project you'll need something to control the FCA on the CP3, unless you just want to run max pressure all the time. If you use a dmax injector you will need a high voltage driver with dc-dc inverters of some sort to fire the injector. LB7 injectors run on 96vdc and LLLY's run on 48 volts.

Or you can just unplug the FCA to get full pressure...... No recommended though.

very well. I stand corrected. Well... to the average diesel bomber with a rail pressure gauge, it would appear that pressure varries by RPM.
