I’ve had my Smarty JR for about 2-years now (not sure what the software release version is). The shop where I bought it set it to the “out of the box” 100% POD setting, and I've just left it alone. Anyway, I’m curious, are there any new updates? For an otherwise stock ’06 with the 48RE; what’s the best software update and setting for max power and reduced “drone”?

I don’t drive my truck hard; I only bought the Smarty to provide optimal passing power when needed… but I do love the way the truck runs with it, even driving light-footed.

You will need to plug it in to see what version you have. I am running the 5.14b but have not checked for updates in a long time. This version is the best so far with a much more linear fuel map. I have a slipping clutch and I can still run SW2 as long as I go smooth on the throttle. Before I could only run SW1 because the fuel map was so abrupt.
