I had watched and studied the different GPS's for about 6 months. For me it came down to either the Magellen 760 or the Garmin 2720. I opted for the Magellen 760 ($700) for 3 reasons, first the speaker is built into the unit and not on the cigarette lighter plugin, second, the speaker volume increases when the vehicle gets to 45 MPH, and third, it calls out the names of the street you are to turn on when you are about 500 yards before turning.

It appeared to me that the mapping was about the same.
