Benifits moving from EZ to Juice/attitude?
Ok, I posted earlier that I helped a friend install an edge juice/attitude. He loves it and I thought it was pretty neat. So now I am thinking of getting one, but here is my questions:
I have an EZ that I have only ever run on level 1. I compared the levels of power between the EZ and juice
EZ----------Juice
40-150-----25-80
50-180-----40-120
60-200-----60-150
70-220-----80-200
-----------100-250
so when I look at this, if I take the EZ off and get the juice it doesn't seem like there is much of a dif in power. I would have to run the juice on level 3 to get the same torque and 20extra HP.
is it worth it? I have mechanical gauges right now, but the monitor is nice.
is the big diference the way the power is made? Is the juice safer? I know this is very vauge post, but I am hoping someone can tell me if I will notice a dif in the power obtained or will it just be safety features and a display?
thanks guys
maybe I should keep the EZ on 1 and stack something else. I just want a little more. Nothing drastic.

I guess what I am saying is that I want a little more power, but I don't want to run the EZ any higher than level 1 because of all the pressure discussions.
so I guess a better question to all this is how does the juice make its power? If I have to run level 3 on the juice to get the same power, is it safer power than the ez alone.
as far as stacking I was thinking that maybe something that doesn't add pressure at all to get a little more power.
sorry if this is confusing. I am not trying to race this truck. i have a car for that, I just want a little more get up and go for when I am not towing the car.
thanks

If the EZ adds pressure, then there's your difference. The Juice does not add pressure. It gets it's power with timing and duration. I think the Juice is the much safter of the two.

Ok, I aprecciate it. I don't keep up with all this alot, but from another post and from some other stuff I read, the 03/04 juice does add pressure. Just trying to make sure that most of the power is from timing and duration.

depends on who you ask. some say the 03-04 juice adds pressure, some say it doesn't. some say it only adds pressure on the HOT tune, some say it doesn't. It is fact that 04.5+ juice modules do not add pressure.
Pressure power and timing/duration power feel different even at the same levels. I prefer timing/duration.

03-04 Juice does add pressure and would not be a good stack with your EZ. I did have the Juice and I didn't like it. The power didn't seem all that great and it would surge. This was just on my truck though and every truck responds differently, but if you've already have the EZ I would get something else to stack it with and I'd recommend a TST\EZ stack. I've tried quite a few boxes and a few stacks and the one I like the best is the TST\EZ stack. It's probably more power than you'd want, but at least it's always there if you ever decide that you want more. Plus you can get one in the classifieds for around $500.00. Either way, if you're already afraid of pressure I wouldn't stack it with the Juice IMHO

Not to steal this thread or anything.. But while we are on the subject. I have a Predator (no puck) on my 05 CTD and I just ordered an Edge Juice w/attitude to stack it with. Is that a good stack? I wanted it mainly for the on the fly changes and the guages. What levels/Combinations can I run it on? Predator on tune #? and edge on tune #?... Thanks

The Edge Juice and Diablo Predator is the stack Mork uses and says it's by far the best out of all the different stacks he has tried. He sets the Predator on full power and then adjusts the levels on the Juice as wanted.

Ok my understanding though is that for an 05 dodge ctd the two tuners do NOT add pressure, am I correct? If I am correct, wouldnt this be bad to add two timing/duration box's ontop of eachother?? And then the predator being on the extreme setting all the time would hurt the motor?? It says not to run it all the time.. I dunno if stacking it changes that..

You should look up morkable. His truck is an '03, so maybe what I just said does not apply to our year models. I know the Juice on the '06 does not add pressure. I'm not sure I want to stack anything - sounds a little scary to me.
