Bed caps vs. Over the rail spray-on?

Bed caps vs. Over the rail spray-on?
I think I've decided on the Line-X spray-in liner. Now I have to decide whether to do the over-the-rail option.
What are the advantages to this vs. just buying a set of bed rail caps? I'm not interested in diamond-plate - just a plain ABS black cap. It seems to me it would be easier to replace the tape-on kind down the road if they get messed up. Then again, the Line-X is guaranteed, so I guess they'd redo it for free . . . decisions, decisions.
Anybody have the spray-on over-the-rail and love it? Anybody regret it?
Thanks,
Neil

I have the Line-X over the rail with a bed cap.
I love the combination.
I use the RV sealing tape from the auto parts store and just pull the old off & retape when I pull the cap on and off.
The Line-X makes it easy 'cuz I can use a scrub pad to remove all the old residue without worring about scratching the paint.
And if some of the tape works its way out, I don't have to worry about the cap rubbing the paint off either.

I have over the rail Speedliner, I like it bunches. However, I opted for the roughest texture, a bed cap would not seal on my rails. (See Member's pics) I have a friend who has ABS caps with tape and luvs them but looking down the rail you can tell they're not as straight as they once were, warped a little so he has a slight rise in area where there's no tape. I toiled with this decision too. I went with over the rail and it looks awsome. VERY glad I went that way instead of under.
I can't count on one hand how many times I have said, DOH!!! that would have really scratched the paint.

I am going to get some pics up soon but, I installed a Turn-Over-Ball Hitch in the bed and then had the Line-X liner sprayed in - it looks like it was built in like that from the factory - extremely trick!!!! Good luck with yours!!

I'm putting in a Pullrite SuperGlide 5er hitch. Pullrite says to spray the liner after the hitch install. In this case, all that's left in the bed after the install is a couple of holes as the brackets, etc. are all underbed or removable. So, spraying after installation ensures that the exposed metal from drilling the holes get treated. Other types of hitches where rails remain in the truck (like my old Reese) would likely be the opposite (spray first).
