I have the BD twins ,but no upgraded cp3 unit ,I,m seeing 51 psi boost if I hold it a while in 4 th gear to 3000-3200 rpm,s ,do you think if I upgrade to a r 700 turbo I will have some more power ?
I know the cp3 has its limits ,I have not dyno,d the truck ,so I don,t now how much power the truck is making .
injectors are flux 1 ,do I need bigger tips ?

thx A.J

I am very happy with the setup....They spool quickly and are fun to drive in traffic.
Do they give a lot of power away at the dyno events?....Time will tell, but even if I'm a few Hp down I like the way they work on the street and at the racetrack.

Not taking anything away from your turbo sets iether....I'd need to be blind not to appreciate the workmanship and the big power numbers being laid down.......Different strokes I guess.

Thats engineered information your asking for Jamie/ I cannot release any secrets to sucess

Stick a gauge on it and let us know. I'd bet if your making around 80psi your drive pressure is 110psi or so. That's giving up a lot of free hp for a little bit of spool up.

Not sure what you are getting at.
Serious drive pressure happens at high engine speed doesn't it?
How would lower drive pressure help with spool up? Or is that even what you are getting at?

Would be happy to add another gauge....Stay tuned!

What I'm getting at is by using a T-4 housing and a small turbine wheel you run higher drive pressure but gain spool up. The elevated drive pressure costs hp. So like I said...... for a little bit of gain in spool up you give up a good deal of hp because of high drive pressure.

Typically the higher the rpm's the higher the drive pressure, yes?

You can overfuel a set of twins and actually cause slower spool up with a overly restrictive exhaust side. With the adjustable fueling of the electronic trucks it's not nearly the issue because you can turn the fuel down.
