I just had mine installed. It originally had the big spring. I found that my BOV would only activate at 30psi or higher. I tried settings all over the map, but my SPS 66 would bark a LOT at partial throttle lifts.

Using the little red light I set the dials to activate the way I wanted to. Then I swapped out the big spring for the little spring and the 4 washers.

Now it's almost perfect. It will not let the Phat Shaft bark any more. My only complaint is that it blows off a little too much now, even with normal to moderate driving. Any time I have over 15psi and I lift it blows off.

I need to cut the "open" time down so I don't lose as much boost between shifts. Additionally I think I might increase the voltage drop setting a bit.

On edit:

Tial's website shows three springs. I think I'm going to contact Tial to see if there's a spring in between the two included with the kit. I think I'd like a little more spring pressure.

You don't need the PCM, what you're looking for is the APPS sensor. Go to Quad's website and look at the instructions for installing the Quad modules with the APPS tap.

Good pics to use there.
