BD Turbo Chart

I actually think 80 lbs/min is optimistic for the Special. It should be more like 75 lbs/min.
I haven't seen many of these running more than 650 HP like the HTT 66's and the Bullets and their wheels are rated at 80 lbs/min.

HX35 is just over 640 cfm. I dont have the exact number but no way is it 800cfm.

I will admit that a stock 54mm hx35 at the stock 21.5 psi, is probably down around 640 cfm.
I know of several diesel junkies that have broken into the deep 400 RWHP range with stock HX35's and that ain't happening at 640 cfm. I know of at least one guy that came dang near 500 RWHP with a HX35 with a 21cm exhaust housing. You'd be surprised how much air an over sped turbo will flow.
I think that BD underates the HP potential of it's SuperB, its upper HP limit should be closer to 475 RWHP. I suspect many factors come into play when advertising HP potential such as turbo longevity and marketing in general.

I guess I need to ask again.....Just curious as I'm about to buy a 64/71/13 unless I'm talked out of it.

I talked to Chris the other day about mine and he isnt finding anything wrong with it, we actually think I have a bad boost leak somewhere so I ordered a new intercooler boot kit for when my turbo gets back!

Most companies do the opposite and overrate their turbos... for marketing I am sure.

looking to step it up, But I tow a lot and my towing weight is easy 14K some times. Should I just go with the special or the twins ??
I currently like the quick spool with the weight i tow, along with good egt's.

Browndg, go for the twins, makes a world of difference, I think the Super B really shines when it's used in the twin setup. When it's by itself it can fall short, yet when used as a twin it seems to be perfect. The EGT's will be well in check with the twins also. Contact kantdrive55, Pat will give you all the info you need.
