Question BD Power Pup

How do you guys like the BD Power Pup? Does it give a nice increase in power and provide a little black smoke? Have you guys had any problems out of this product?

I currently have the Edge Ez but am looking to upgrade to something with a little more power.

Thanks for any info that you can provide.

the pup works great for me, I have it on the 90 setting , and get 19.1 mpg on the highway, also put the donaldson 41in , and airaid filters system. great performance and nice haze on full acceleration. now if I wanted to make smoke, that is no problems , but very little turbo lag on acceleration.

it works good for me also except when Im towing then it has way to much turbo lag, I did have to send it back for a reflash due to a flat spot on the 90hp setting but the reflash took care of it and bully dog was great with cust. service. I just order a quad box from the dtr store to replace the pup, hopefully the quad does better for towing.

i love mine on 90hp. BD is also awesome with Customer Service. I came up with a problem and my cell battery was almost dead. i called and they put me on hold, so i hung up. called back and told them i needed urgent help and i went right to a rep who fixed me up.

anyway, it pours out a crapload of smoke. i can black out intersections at will. i also have barely any turbo lag at all

Unloaded I can't get to 1200 degrees unless I take it to 3500 rpm before I shift and I end up hitting about 1200 when I'm going around 100mph. I get a poff of black smoke at low/no boost but that's it. This is the tripledog on extreme.

My egts are no problem even towing 8000lbs i never see above 1200 empty I never see above 1000 thats on the 90hp setting, for some reason my truck runs real cool no matter what I do to it, been like that since day one and I like it .the pup does smoke real nice under low boost conditions then soon as the boost builds it clears and hang on

No, the pup uses very little rail pressure to make its power.
