I bought a six gun w/ speed loader when I first got my truck. Works better with the speed loader. I bought it because of the safety features. I now have it stacked with a Smarty. Works very well together. If I had it to do over, I would most likely just buy the Smarty, but I have no complaints.

There was a story from one of the sites several years ago, with a destroyed motor with the Banks system.
He was from Califoria, had the system installed and drove east to get a camper. Burnt up No.6 cylinder on the way home. It took a year to get settled.
He has to buy another truck to get home.

So, it doesn't look like he had much SAFETY Features built into it!!!!

My thoughts are that I need to buy the speed loader with sensor, but my question remains, is this normal, or does the Banks system just suck that badly. Thanks!
I would definatly get some guages and go from there. I have the speed loader and it seems to work fine for me. I have had one problem with mine and i sent the computer back to banks and they re-programmed it for me. no problems since.

The 6-gun adds pressure, which I will agree is not the safest way to get power out of a truck. It also does some timing. But it doesn't really add all of this until after 1800rpm, on my truck it would begin to pull at around 2200 and fall on its face at about 2600.
