Banks Ram Air Experience?

Does anybody have experience with the Banks Ram Air? ...especially on the 6.7L. What do you think?

I don't think it is a K&N. They advertise it as having 7 layers and compare it against K&N in their advertising. S&B is one of the companies that makes 7 layer filters but I don't know who makes banks filters. I got one just to try it out and I like it, seems well made and fits good.

I have tried a couple different open air intakes and had no problems with good results, but I finally switched to the Banks closed system to force in more fresh air. The turbo whistle was louder with the open style, but I would not go back. I also made a custom air scoop/tube feed that sits just below the front air dam and forces air through the tube directly into the bottom entry of the Banks box. So I pull air in traditionally through the fender/headlight (as with stock and/or all aftermarket intakes) and force quite a bit as a direct feed of fresh cool air. I can honestly tell you, I have reduced smoke to minimal amounts. Clean, crisp performance IMO.
