Question Banks High Ram

Wanted to know if any has the banks high on there truck was thinking about buying it and the Quad XZT. I know the quad is what would fit my towing needs but what about the Banks High Ram any info would be appreciated.

I have one installed. Need to change out your cold Air intake in order to effectively use the High RAM capabilities.

Got one here also.....

Get a AFE/Airaid/Scotty intake for the truck, to maximize its effectiveness

Do they make a high-ram that actually fits a 3rd gen yet?

Or do you still have a hokey kink in the boot where the high-ram and CAC tube connect?

They fit fine on the older trucks, but not the HPCR.

Yes, they do make one that fits perfectly. I have had mine for over 6 months. No problems. Didn't see a change until I installed the Scotty Air 5. Then I saw the performance improvement.

I have the High Ram.
Fit is perfect, nice looking. It makes probably a slight difference in overall air flow.

I was going to buy one, but when i talked to banks they said not to waist my money on just the high ram. I should wait to get the charged air cooler and a upgrade turbo all in 1 package to see the differance.

That is a good idea. They told you right.

There are more 500+rwhp trucks without them than there are with them. The gains are minimal, if any. The looks of it are the biggest gain. Spend your money on something that's going to make a noticeable difference.

Toy K,

Do you think the performance gain was the Scotty Air or the High Ram? I mean, do you think it is possible that the gains would have been the same adding the Scotty Air regardless of the High Ram?

I feel like there has been some performance gain on mine with just the AFE Stage 2. Just wondering if the High Ram would add anymore.

Of course they told you to get that "Kit", did they also tell you the price? It's a reason you don't see prices for their on-line and you always see the "call for pricing". Don't know about you, but plopping down the amout of cash they are asking for that "kit" is something to be considered. They amaze me with their "kits". I've come to realize they really dont sell much of their stuff as seperate items. And what they do sell seems to be overly expensive. Just my opinion.
