gdh11...

With all the stuff you've done to your truck did you notice any improvements with the addition of the TAG? I had considered getting one for increased economy but havent heard a lot of actual owner inputs on them just "he said, they said" kinda stuff...

gdh, Thanks 100° is pretty good!

Barrett, I put the TAG on mine, I got about 50° cooler and about 100 rpm earlier whistle out of the turbo. There was a thread a few months back, a guy did a pretty good trial on it.

Installed mine last night.

There is a difference, and the overhead mpg is up about .5mpg.

Engine just seems to be smoother and not as labored going up the hills.

I guess if nothing else the bright red will brighten up the engine

Made the most difference on level 6 of the Speed Loader/Six Gun

I was thinking instead of shelling out that much money for the High Ram intake, why not just use Mandrel Bend piping instead? I assume that is much smoother flow of air rather than a buldging pipe end???

seems it should have a correlation.... the volume of available presurized air when the intake valve(s) open otherwise seen as trying to fill a swimming pool with a teaspoon. the high ram most likely gets some of its gains from this larger volume of air, and some from the smoothe flowing design. The mandrell bend idea is a good one to play around with, using 4 inch diam pipe all the way from the intercooler outlet to the intake manifold would certainly allow for a three fold if not more volume of boosted air The total cfm available would end up greater. lets say the stock setup holds 2 cubic feet of air from the turbo through the intercooler and to the intake. boosted to twice atmospheric presure would yield 4 cubic feet available, larger 4 inch setup could raise this initial volume to 3 cubic feet and 6 cubic feet once compressed to the same level as before. Granted spool up time may be slower but once you are in the boost range you got it made all at the same " safe" wastegate settings. Yoy fellas running dual turbos ever try figuring out a way to have 3 cylinders push one and the other 3 push the second? comes out to lower total presure but should be able to flow more air again at safer levels. just some thoughts to toss around.

Hmm....I wonder if I should try it anyways? Wouldn't cost me even half the price of High Banks Intake tube.
