Hello. I did not have access to the shop where I will install my AD150. So, in the interim I am installing my Westach F.P. gauge. I did not get a banjo bolt since I plan on installing the 1/2" kit.
For now, can I use the banjo bolt made for replacing an intake bolt for boost on the bottom of the filter canister?
I hope I can use it.
Please let me know if it will work.

Maybe I should not call it a banjo. I just found it on the Geno's site. It looks totally different. Here it is:

I want to have the FP gauge work when I am done installing it. But I don't have the proper banjo bolt for the bottom. Any ideas? I do have the threaded elbow that goes into the elbow of the CP3. I wonder if I could make that work w/o the incoming 1/2" line (I hope I can get to installing my AD150 next weekend).

Your guage mechanical or electrical? The only other way I can see doing it is to splice a barbed T fitting into the rubber line between the two hardlines (one coming from the filter, the other from the cp3) then reading fuel pressure from there... Otherwise, you really need the banjo...

Yeah, I just have to be patient I guess. I hate to install a gauge I can't watch work.
Does anyone ever tap a hole in the plastic top of the fuel filter cap? I know it is not post filter, but just thinking outloud.
I am still running level 9. I want to know if my FP to the CP goes to 0psi so I can pull the foot back.

By AD, I assume you mean AirDog. I'm not familiar with what comes in their kit. I think you'd be better off doing the installs together when you have the time instead of piecing the fuel pressure together then having to change it later... Unless you really have an emergency and need to see your pressure?

You are correct on all points.
I just have a lil' time at home w/the one of the kids and wanted to get something cool done to my truck. I was just outside looking around again and seeing how simple/sweet it will go together with the right bolt.
Probably no an easy bolt to find locally, either.

Probably impossible. If you have a lathe or a drill press and some taps, you can drill and tap one of your cp3 banjos, go to the hardware store and grab a threaded/barbed fitting and be done.... I wouldn't do that unless you are really confident in your abilities though...

maybe this one isn't for the 1/2" hose though
Then you'll need a diesel fuel rated hose to go from there to a needle valve witch you will leave barely cracked open and then to an isolator then to your tubing to your gauge which you would fill with either a teflon type lubricant (I used tri-flow......there are different brands) or I think they say to use coolant? Some places sell a whole kit for this. Now that I understand what it all entails I do believe the guys who say an electrical FPG is better. No isolators to get screwy and whatnot.
