Baffle section

What size pipe do i need to get to make a hommade torqe tube. I have measured the baffle section and it measured roughly 5-1/4" od. SO do I go 5" or 5.5" tubing since they don't seem to make a 5-1/4" pipe?

I used a piece of 5.5" aluminum tubing from airflow online. Works great.

I must be doing something wrong but, I can't get anything form that website. Is that the correct one? How much does that 5.5" tube cost?

Thanks.

I used a coffee can (litterally).....a coffee can.

I think it was a 1 pound ca, tore off the label, put the coffee in a zip-loc for later use ....and painted it black.

$4.99....plus coffee to boot

I did the same thing. I used the stock tube and removed the baffling. I made it way harder than it needed to be though. One of the ends will come off if you pry it hard. Then just glue it back together. Free.

I finally got around to doing the baffle removal and silencer ring delete. The cross baffles on mine where held in place by a two piece split plastic pipe. Pryed of the top of the baffle section breaking the factory glued joint ( wasn,t easy) pulled the assembly out and tried to reglue with Krazy glue. That didn't work (amazing) so figured a two part expoxy will surely do it. NOT! The stock tube is made of a plastic that I found the only product would work is "Loctite for all Plastics". Anyway my tube is kind of a mess and I don't trust it longterm but can hear the turbo sing. Not as loud as I hoped. Going to look for a piece of metal pipe, prefer stainless, for a permanent solution. Never did get around to swiss cheesing the airbox.
