Back Spacing

I am about to order a set of Fuel Off Road Boost wheels 18x9 mounted with a set of 33 Toyo MT's. The shop recommended 5"/ +1 back spacing. Does this sound ok to use? Thanks in advance!

If you don't want them to stick out very far, try to get as close to the stock wheel's backspacing as you can. It's around 6"-6.25".

Most guys are running backspacing at about 5.5". That sticks the tire out a bit so the wider tire doesn't rub on the inside.

With a 9" rim that is about a 18mm offset.
