B100 in a 3rd gen ?
I am SERIOUSLY considering buying a BioPro 190 and i want to know what the problems are, if any with running B100 in a 3rd gen. Those that have been running it in 3rd gens please chime in and tell me how long you have been running it and if it has given you any problems. Does all B100 gel up, or just the stuff made from certain oil? Also, how does biodiesel affect performance parts like a Smarty, do they still function the same? As you can tell from my sig, i have a 2003 with an aftermarket lift pump. Thanks guys

it will kill your motor warranty if you still have it. also the HPCR's are more sensitive to impurities in the fuel, so be sure to make it as pure as possible to try to avoid costly injector issues

have been using b99 for 25K miles(since new) in an 05, have GDP 2mic filter and pump,no problems with gelling,at least to 25 degrees, doesnt get much colder in Tucson, use no additives of any kind, truck runs, starts great and gets great milage, never been back to the dealer since i drove it off the lot new.

My first fill up was Bio!! Whenever I can not buy fuel in Indiana where its cheaper (I'm also tax exempt there), I fill with Bio here, its usually .10 cents less a gallon. Example today its 3.21 in Indiana where I fill, here its 3.35-40. Bio is 3.24...but the real question is why is Bio pricing so influenced by oil trading? If I give up hauling I plan I doing the home brew Bio too.

Most folks that have been around the biodiesel world for a while will tell you not to exceed b50 with HPCR systems. I would recommend doing a bit more research before jumping into processing too quickly...just my .02

I make b99 in Louisiana, and have just starting running it in my 06, And I have a smarty and havent had any bad things happen yet. no power loss or anything like that at all. so far so good. and with my factory fuel system.
From what I have read you just need to filter the crap out of the bio fuel just to make sure it is clean.
