Aux Fuel Pump Stupid question

Thumbs up Aux Fuel Pump Stupid question
Why can't a guy drop the tank and place a straw in the tank. 2nd, tie fuel lines to a aux. pump. 3rd "wire" power on/off swicth. 4th plumb pressure line into a "T" within the main fuel line. When the factory pump fails, filp on swicth and away you go.

You'd need a check valve in the main line behind it, otherwise it would just backflow into the tank and never build any pressure.

Opps! you're right. I forgot about that. I think I'm going to buy a Aux.Pump only and do that. Thanks for the reminder.
